SEGMENT 1: FEDERAL UPDATES

Covers all applicable Federal updates, new rates and limits for Canada Pension Plan (CPP), Employment Insurance (EI) and Pension Adjustments, and identifies required changes to forms for year-end filing, as well as changes and enhancements to Service Canada programs including Record of Employment (ROE) Web. This segment includes an overview of the Canada Pension Plan enhancement taking place from 2019 through 2025.

SEGMENT 2: 2019 AND 2020 JURISDICTIONAL CHANGES AND REPORTING

Reviews changes to employment standards and other jurisdictional updates, such as the new BC Health Tax, and their potential implications for the current year and beyond.

SEGMENT 3: FEDERAL YEAR-END REPORTING

Includes a quick reference checklist to help you track the documents and filing information necessary to meet and complete current year-end and new year requirements on time. This overview includes: dealing with final pay cheques, overpayments and remittances; key filing deadlines; possible penalties and a step-by-step overview of the basic requirements for completing the T4 and T4A slips and summaries.

SEGMENT 4: QUEBEC LEGISLATIVE UPDATES AND YEAR-END REPORTING

Reviews Quebec updates and year-end reporting requirements including: 2019 rates and limits for the Quebec Pension Plan, EI and the Quebec Parental Insurance Plan and Quebec income tax and Quebec specific employment standards legislation. Also covers an overview of the requirements for completing the RL-1 slip and summary.
